dsc03150.JPGThanks to Matt for making this whole thing possible.  Always good to have a technophile in the group! Thought I would start things off with a sinlge photo, and what better a subject than Anna and Mr Doyle…

…let the captions roll!!

NEATHARG2006 Is coming!

The People,

Hello! I bring good tidings – a venue for the NY festivities has been finalised, booked and fully vetted.

The good man Greenstock has volunteered the Horse and Groom for the evenings frivolities. Indeed, this is truly good news as we, along with Tom and a selection of his friends, will have the run of one of the finest public houses in the area.

I am so generally excited by the whole thing as to feel it necessary to provide a clever anacronim for the event. Thus, I christen the event NYEATHAG2006 (New Years Eve at the Horse and Groom 2006; pronounced ne-ath-ag). Details will doubtless follow from someone and a historic night will be enjoyed by all.

I for one, at this juncture, would like to thank Will and Tom for the kind offer of the use of the pub – it certainly solves a host of logistic problems not least of all where we will sleep (I bagsy behind the bar under the tap for Old Thumper).

Await further details but please make the neccesary notes in the diary! This is most imperative.

Hi all,

I’m sorry this has taken quite so long to appear on our good screens but hopefully it’s not too late. The village pump is your place to publish and write about all good things, Winking, or otherwise.

You can upload images, stories and video here, but if you’ve got masses of pictures I recommend getting an account at flickr.com (a free photo site – unlimited storage!) – you can link to your flickr images from this blog too.
